In February 2019, a change to the PGA Tour's Player Appearance guidelines was announced, allowing players to wear shorts during all practice and pro-am rounds. The European Tour has allowed this since 2016, but both Tours still require players to wear trousers during official tournament rounds. The LPGA and Ladies European Tours have allowed shorts, skirts and skorts to be worn for quite some time.

What should you wear to play golf?
