Inspired by the putters he has made for major winners and champions on the worldwide professional golf tours, Scotty Cameron has reimagined one of his most iconic designs to create three new models called Champions Choice.
Incorporating decades of design refinements from neck to sole, Scotty built the Champions Choice Newport 2 Button Back with the soft feel of his Teryllium alloy inlay, but with the modern shape and sole balancing precision of a modern Newport 2 milled from 303 stainless steel with a soft tri-sole, customizable sole weights and a player preferred, narrower topline.
Scotty’s familiar three-dot theme is expressed with translucent red, white and translucent blue accents that are carried through to the winner’s stripes designed into the face and sole of this limited release offering, which is based on the putter style trusted to back-to-back U.S. Open victories in 2017 and 2018.
Arguably the most famous putter head shape in the world, with scores of professional titles won, Scotty’s flagship model—the new Special Select Newport 2—is the closest-to-Tour setup ever offered.
REFINED PLUMBING NECK
Offering a full shaft of offset, every curve and contour of the familiar plumbing neck has been re-engineered to enhance performance. The refined neck has been positioned slightly back from the leading edge to improve visibility and ease alignment for increased confidence at address.
MULTI-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION
With a Teryllium insert expertly designed into the 303 stainless steel putter head, each precision milled model extends the proven methodology of incorporating complementary materials to achieve desired performance and feel.
MODERN VIBRATION DAMPENING
The traditional elastomer of the original Button Backs has been supplemented with the addition of a high-tech vibration dampening material placed between the Teryllium inlay and the putter head that works perfectly to provide unmatched feel and feedback.
