Cobra Captures “The Shark” with New Long-Term Agreement

On Monday Cobra Puma Golf announced Greg Norman would be a new global ambassador for the brand. Welcoming the Australian golfer back to the company he was linked to in his prime.

His name is one that has become synonymous with the game, a player recognised throughout the world for both his golfing abilities and merchandising prowess. Norman’s new collaboration with Cobra creates a unique opportunity for both the player and the brand that both parties are eager to utilise.

“Cobra Golf continues to enhance the game with cutting-edge technology and products that help golfers of all skill levels play better and enjoy the game,” said Norman. “I’m proud of the growth the company has experienced thus far and am excited about the future potential of the brand.”

With Bob Philion, the President of Cobra Puma golf adding that, “Greg is an industry icon and a true promoter of game enjoyment, which is what Cobra has been about from the beginning.”

The new long-term agreement will see Norman promoting Cobra at a number of Tour events including the Valero Texas Open, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, and the Franklin Templeton Shootout. The player’s bag and headwear will feature the brand’s logo with Norman using the COBRA BIO Cell Driver 8.5, BIO Cell Fairway, and BIO Cell Hybrid, all in black. As well as the AMP Cell Pro Irons 3-PW and the Tour Trusty Wedges 52 and 57.

Philion is obviously happy with the new arrangement.

“It feels right to have him not only back on the course playing our clubs, but also behind the scenes, playing an intricate role in the development of our products and overall business.”
