Team France Earns “Fastest Hole in Golf” Record

Ahead of last week’s Open de Espana, three teams led by tournament host Sergio Garcia from Spain, Denmark and France got together to try and break the Guinness Book of World Record’s “Fastest hole in golf for a team of four.”

Filmed on the par-5 4th hole at the Real Club Valderrama, hilarity ensues as the teams race to cover 500 yards as fast as possible in a 4-man relay. Hoping to break the current 68-second record these pro golfers have a blast chasing the golf ball down.

The end result is pretty impressive, with Team France shattering the competition and the former record, finishing the hole in an astonishing 34.8 seconds!

“I mean, 34 seconds, that’s unbelievable!” remarked French leader Raphael Jacquelin. “It’s the best feeling ever and very cool to have the Guinness World Records title and hopefully get in that famous book.  It was a big drive from Romain and an incredible three iron from Alex and then the putts from Gregory and me were very fast too, so it was a big team effort and the whole thing was a lot of fun.  We knew it was fast but not quite that fast!”

Check out the video above to see the amazing attempts from all three teams.
