The NEW TaylorMade Sim2 Driver, Voted the Best, Here’s Why…

In 2020 TaylorMade unveiled SIM, Shape in Motion, drastically changing the shape of a driver to give golfers around the globe incredible results. For 2021, they’re going a step further and this time changing the entire construction. The outcome is better than anything we could have hoped for. We’re certain the new SIM2 line of drivers will transform your game, and here’s why.

Forged Ring Construction

TaylorMade have pulled out all the stops on this one. Building upon the success of the asymmetrical shape of last year’s SIM, the SIM2 now focuses on the driver’s construction, giving it a solid upgrade to help improve overall performance and forgiveness. The star of the SIM2 story is easily the new “Forged Ring Construction,” a bright blue solid aluminium ring that’s been precision milled to slot into the back of the clubhead, forming the chassis of the driver and saving 9 grams of weight. This unique ring unites a large rear weight, a full carbon crown and a milled back cup face, creating a gorgeous club that inspires confidence at address, and is engineered for increased stability and forgiveness.

With a sole that is constructed entirely from nine ply carbon fibre, TaylorMade was able to save even more weight, and achieve better airflow by getting rid of their normal sliding weight track, which they say most golfers didn’t use. The SIM2 also benefits from an all-new Inertia Generator. This lightweight panel has been strategically angled to help improve aerodynamics at the most critical part of the swing, to produce faster clubhead speeds. New internal CNC Milling combines with a toe-side Speed Injection Port to push ball speeds to the absolute max. The brand’s iconic Speed Pocket technology protects performance on low face strikes, while Twist Face promises to help you find more fairways.

Something for Every Level of Player

TaylorMade understands that not all golfers are created equally. Uniformed forgiveness unites the entire SIM2 family, but each of the three models offers something special to entice golfers of all abilities. Check out the specs below to find your perfect match. As always, GolfOnline is proud to offer an exceptional Custom Fit service to help ensure your golf driver is perfectly tailored to your unique swing.
