This month Titleist will introduce the newest Vokey design wedges, the
Vokey Spin Milled 5 (SM5). Specifically engineered using spin milled technology to offer golfers the ultimate in trajectory and distance control.
Envisioned by master craftsman Bob Vokey, the SM5s incorporate new and deeper TX3 grooves for a distinct performance edge along with the industry’s most extensive bounce and grind options.
Since 2004 Vokey design wedges have held the number 1 wedge spot on Tour. By using the Tour and Tour players as a research base, Vokey and his team continue to push the boundaries of wedge innovation and design. Taking feedback straight from the course to the design and manufacturing process.
Vokey explains how this method has helped to shape his latest creation. “I’ve always said I have the best R&D facility in the world – the PGA Tour. I worked closely with our team of craftsmen and engineers to apply everything I’ve learned from the best players in the world to Spin Milled 5.”
Adding, “We’ve increased the spin. We’ve given players more control. And we’ve got a bounce and grind matrix that will provide the versatility and confidence to hit a variety of shots around the green and get up and down more.”
