It’s a proper well made golf club, and was bought as a taster (with a longer iron) for my son rather than using the old clubs at his group lessons. If he sticks with it, I did intend to buy the full set; this iron is not part of that set so will slot in nicely.
It does what it should well, solid but non-vibey connection and appears forgiving. Good size clubhead etc.
Sadly, my example has an area on the club face about the size of a £1 coin where the grooves have not been cut at all, the machine tool has just grazed the surface and it’s almost completely smooth. My son can already generate reasonable power, so for a lofted iron the smooth section of the club face is a shame, and has made me dubious of ordering the full set. It’s the sort of finishing issue I’d expect from a “sports shop” set of junior clubs. Difficult to rate as clearly a solid product, and hopefully a one-off quality issue. I can only rate the example I have received.
Given the protective packaging, this would not have been seen by the store upon dispatch, so cannot fault golfonline’s service, and will definitely order again.
