Mizuno MP-52 Irons (Steel Shaft)

Fantastic set of irons! I came from a MX19 set and was looking for a different club as i lowered my handicap. These a perfectly suitable for 0-20 handicappers. Higher are better of with the MX series of Mizuno with bigger cavities and bigger clubheads. Perfect look with the tin topline and a forged feel. I use a R300 shaft which is just perfect for medium swing speeds. MP53 just came out, so this a very nice set for a good price!

After a long search, I was custom fitted for a set of Mizuno MP-52's last Janaury, switching from Titleist DCI 962B's. It is true, nothing quite feels like a Mizuno MP iron! The thin top line and compact head look fantastic at address, but the discrete pocket cavity, which is only really present in the longer irons, gives a little bit more forgiveness on those off centre strikes then you would expect from an MP iron. These are a great set of clubs, and still allow you to work the ball either way. The only down side in my eyes are the heads are very soft and mark easily but thats an acceptable trade off for that buttery soft Mizuno feel! Overall, very pleased with the purchase and will be playing these for a few years to come!

I purchased these superb set of clubs after very extensive comparisons. As my handicap dropped down to 23 I felt the need for an equipment that further challanges my skills. I was long hesitating between the MP-62 and 52 and I am fully satisfied with the MP-52s. They are great at address, and sill provide well enough forgiveness if I misshit a bit. They feel and perform well above my expectations and not to forget they are the most beatifull forged clubs to look at.

What a great set of irons. More forgiving than previous MP irons meant that off centre hits weren't punished as badly. The ball flies on a penatrating flight and the feel is superb. I would reccomend these to any up to a 14 handicap and they are a superb set.

Having used Mizuno for a number of years now, I was expecting great things from these MP52 irons. Having tried at my local range I decided on the Project X shafts and bought from Golfonline as they always have the best prices. I was not let down, super quality irons from Mizuno just second to none. Very nice irons in every respect, the forgiveness for such a premium iron is hard to beleive.
