TaylorMade P790 Irons (Steel Shaft) - Prior Gen

I use this iron for short flag attacks it’s great for shaping basics I researched it online and imagined how it would play and it plays exactly like this. Forgiving Good for shapes and accuracy I can’t after fitting it think of things that aren’t great you either like it or not I wish I’d known it would work with me but it did anyway it’s a confidence club

The loft of P790 irons is between P770 and sim, so for the golfers who just made a step from beginners to more serious player P790 is great choice

Great looking and feeling iron. Forgiveness when hit poorly but also great for distance.

Excellent next day delivery from golf online. Played 5 times with them and hitting strikes I didn’t with my old irons. Even off centre strikes are forgiving. Went with dynamic 105 stiff shafts and I’m hitting the ball straight and with a high ball fight instead of a snappy hook on my old clubs. Would highly recommend these irons. Get fitted at a local shop and then order from here. Was quoted 12 weeks lead times on the clubs I custom fitted and got the next day from golf online.

Bought these irons with regular rather than stiff steel shafts and 1” longer / 3degrees upright over standard lie. The set is even more playable than my Ping i210’s which are themselves quite forgiving. 5-7 irons seem to penetrate through the wind with 8-Wedge holding on the greens and very accurate. My only gripe is the cost but I think I’ll greatly enjoy these irons despite their expense.

Irons perform really on the range and on the course, lost about 10% in distance could be due to shortening the club.

Very good feeling irons! Plenty of feed back. These play a more traditional loft so tend not to get to many hot shots! Overall a good looking, great feeling set of irons!

I expected a little adjustment time when I switched to these beauties from my previous long term clubs - Ping G25. However I'm happy to report that even though I bought these off the shelf without any fitting, these clubs are the bomb! No word of a lie, I've hit some stunning shots into greens that I previously would have thought impossible at my skill level. The feel is like butter when you hit them correctly. No complaints here! Highlight so far is a 7 iron 189 yards straight down the line of the pin on a par 5, almost an albatross, just sneaked past the hole. Love love love them!

Literally the most ridiculous and forgiving irons out there. Super forgiving and easy to hit. Ball pops up and distances super easy to control. Literally the best looking irons on the market. Cant see why anyone would go for anything else (obviously if a fitting says otherwise, then do!), but if you are buying off the shelf... look no further.

Product is great, price was very competitive and product was delivered quickly. Fully recommend.
