Jon Rahm wins the Tour Championship in Dubai as Tommy Fleetwood Grabs the Race to Dubai

The European Tour came to a dramatic finish in Dubai over the weekend. As 23-year-old Jon Rahm ended an impressive season with another win and was crowned the European Tour Rookie of the Year, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood battled it out until the end to decide who would be the 2017 Race to Dubai Champion, with Fleetwood ultimately coming out on top.
26-year-old Fleetwood was visibly chuffed at the amazing run he has had in 2017. Stating that while Sunday wasn’t his best round of golf he was thrilled with his life both on and off the course at the minute.

“It wasn’t pretty today, I didn’t play how I’d like to and it just showed how tough golf is.” Adding, “It has been the best year of my life by an absolute mile. On the course has been great, I’ve played some of the best golf of my career and done things that I’ve never done before. Off the course I’m just such a happy person so we’ll have to think of ways to better this one.”

The Englishman has a lot to smile about having welcomed a son earlier this year and looking forward to his upcoming wedding in a couple weeks time. Here’s hoping 2018 is just as sweet!
