Mercedes Unveils the Daddy of Golf Carts

Mercedes has teamed up with Garia to bring golfers the ultimate in on-course relaxation – a luxury Mercedes-Benz Style Edition Garia Golf Cart.

The German automotive company has been feverishly working on the concept for three years and now it’s a reality. The super sleek and ultra modern design is the stuff golf dreams are made of. Featuring 14-inch wheels it’s “a real sports car.” Engineered to the highest of standards you’ve come to expect from Mercedes.

“We have reinvented the world of the golf cart with our Mercedes-Benz Golf Car. Mercedes-Benz stands for modern luxury, and golf is an authentic part of that theme,” said Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Daimler AG. “Transferring our automotive design idiom to the Golf Car is therefore something quite natural, and in doing so we have created a product that is both sensual and pure.”

This golf cart has taken all aspects of the game and more into consideration. Looking for a cool refreshment during your 18-holes? No problem, the Mercedes-Benz Style Golf Car has a refrigerator built right under the bench seat. Plus a stowaway tray under the dashboard to hold your golf balls!

Further adding to this modern marvel is the digital technology it packs.  With an integrated onboard 10.1-inch touchpad, the vehicle information is shown in the smaller, upper area. On the large screen area, riders can display the layout of the golf course plus their current position, and can even activate an electronic score card. The touchpad also controls driving mode, headlamps, windscreen heater and wipers.

The 4-horsepower cart has a top speed of 19 MPH, making it the perfect ride for 18 holes. Garia have only made two so far but are waiting to see how the public responds before deciding on production. Check out the awesome vehicle below!
