Titleist’s Justin Thomas wins Tournament of Champions

Justin Thomas is starting 2020 off as a winner, securing his second title at the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii on Sunday.

The 26-year-old’s first win of 2020 wasn’t easy, with Thomas bogeying two of his last three holes to finish in a three-way tie with Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele. But the American was able to hold his nerve throughout the playoffs. First knocking out Schauffele, and then birdieing the third extra hole to beat Reed.

“For some reason I was supposed to win this week. I got very, very lucky,” Thomas told reporters afterwards.

Adding, “I truly felt like through 15 holes it was one of the best rounds I ever played.”
