has secured his fourth PGA Tour title at the Honda Classic 13 months after his last win on the European Tour. His impressive 12-under-268 score was the lowest recorded at the event since Rory McIlroy’s 268 in 2012 and he did it all with a shortened Cobra King F7+ Driver
Fowler had an incredible first three rounds and entered the final day 4-strokes ahead of his nearest competition. While Sunday wasn’t exactly smooth sailing for the 28-year-old (check out Fowler’s mishit on the par-4 fourth on Sunday below) he managed to hold his nerve and finish 4-shots clear of compatriots Gary Woodland and Morgan Hoffmann.
“It’s special to be able to pull it off,” Fowler told reporters after his win. “It wasn’t the prettiest of ways to do it, but this isn’t an easy golf course and this wasn’t an easy day to go play golf on. I just had to fight through it.”
While it might not have been the prettiest of wins, as Fowler himself pointed out “a win is a win.” The Cobra Puma golfer will now be hoping to carry the momentum forward as he starts looking towards major season. Possibly hoping to secure his first green jacket in April???
